Take the fear out of cooking!

Celebrate the new year with a whole series of classes.  Our "Introduction to..." series will give you a chance to try many of the different goodies available at Talin Market.  If you've ever wondered what to do with all the great international products you see on the shelves, these courses are for you!

They'll start with a quick tour of the Market, concentrating on the theme products.  Then we'll cover the basics, and show you how to use the products in delicious recipes.

Unpretentious and informal, these classes will give you first-hand experience with a whole world of products.  Although the classes are designed for beginners, more advanced cooks will appreciate the opportunity to learn new recipes and try different varieties of the theme products.

Feb 11 Introduction to Sake 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM $25 Learn the basics of sake in this introductory class, and sample more than 12 different types of sakes available at Talin. Talin Market Staff
Feb 18 Introduction to Sushi 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM $40 This extremely popular class will teach you the basics and give you a great foundation to impress your friends with homemade sushi!  You'll also sample some great sakes to go with the meal. (This class will be repeated about once per quarter or can be held privately for groups of 6 or more) Talin Market Staff
Feb 25 Introduction to Tamales 10:30 AM-12:30 PM $25 Tamale making is as much a social event as it is cooking.  Dolores Baca will show you how to make home-style pork and vegetarian tamales. Dolores Baca
